Kansas City Fashion Week Fall 2013

KCFW's Fall season has come and gone, and it was quite the ride!

This collection got its beginning inspirations back in April, when the 18th Street Fashion Show revealed its Summer 2013 theme: the Guiled Age. While I didn't make it into this show, I still liked the beginnings of this collection and wanted to see it out. So I made some tweaks and had twelve sketches ready when Fall Fashion Week applications were due, which in the past I had only five or so.

I was really excited about this collection, but whenever someone asked me about it, I found it difficult to describe. I just knew what I wanted, how I wanted it to feel, it was more emotional than logical, but I ran with it!

The end result was better than I could have imagined! This is my personal favorite collection, and I knew by the goosebumps on my arms when my music started (thanks for that, Preston!!), that this collection was going to be something!!

So many people go into making each collection, I simply cannot take credit for it all! Thank you to the Fashion Week Committee, to GENT, to my lovlie models (Hilari, Courtney, Kristina, Aubrey, Madi, Alaina, Miko, and Audrey), to my hair team Envy Salon, to my make-up team Ego Cosmetics, to my friends who made it to the show, to my friends who were there in spirit, to my supportive co-workers, to the Union Station crew, to my teachers who have kept up with my career, to everyone who has encouraged me along my journey, to my fans <3 Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!
